Safe environments – Through their eyes training has been developed by the Department of Child Protection to assist organisations providing services to children and young people to support their staff and volunteers to recognise, report and respond to children or young people who may be at risk of harm and build their capacity to provide safe environments within the organisation.
Organisations should consider requiring their staff and volunteers that work with children and young people attend a Safe environments training course,
Children need to feel valued, respected and safe in order to grow and develop. Creating an environment for children with this in mind can support them to reach their fullest potential. This training is important if you are working with children in any capacity.
