Sinti Jazz at Dunsborough Tavern

A true blend of Old World and New World jazz converge at the Dunsborough Tavern, where Sinti Jazz takes to the stage for a night filled with Gypsy Jazz, local food and southwest brews.

Hailing from Strasbourg in France, Sinti Jazz is a gypsy jazz trio focused on bringing this unique European style of jazz to the fore. During the 1930s, Django Reinhardt and his cohorts created gypsy jazz. Inspired by the music of Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, Reinhardt fused his native gypsy music with American harmony and swing, flourishes of flamenco virtuosity, romantic waltzes and a guitar style inspired directly from the accordion. 

Inspired by the incredible musicianship of not just Django, but also the many masters who came in his footsteps, Sinti Jazz performs a distinct form of music that shines a spotlight on guitar. Their mission is to keep alive the 1930s timeless romantic hot swing of France and bring it to a new audience.
