Mr & Mrs Smith Quintet

The Mr and Mrs Smith Quintet bring to their audience the fun and excitement once found at the heart of Storyville in New Orleans. Consisting of Serge Le Goueff (Saxophones, Clarinet, Flute and Vocals) and Paula Renee (Vocals).

Mr and Mrs Smith are the ultimate professionals who execute an artillery of styles including classy Jazz, smooth Soul, sultry Motown and popular contemporary tunes. Their blend of mainstream, traditional and popular jazz mixed with their cheeky personas have entertained crowds in Australia and abroad over the past few years.

Serge is and international Jazz artist who has performed in jazz festivals around the world for over three decades. He performs on all four saxophones (Tenor, Alto, Soprano and Baritone), the Flute and Clarinet, as well as sings (in the style of his Jazz mentors Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole). Paula’s vocals captivate audiences with powerful yet sultry and sensual tones. Her influences range from Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, to Peggy Lee and Amy Winehouse.

Together, Serge and Paula are “Mr and Mrs Smith”. Well-renowned in the West Australian jazz community, the duo are regulars in the jazz festival scene. Accompanied by some of the hottest jazz sidemen this side of the equator, jazz is their skill, entertaining their mission.
