A question often asked by many Landcarers is when is planting necessary as a restoration activity? Many sites may be quite resilient and once the pressure of weeds has been removed they are able to regenerate naturally. However planting has a role when this resilience is lacking or there are more immediate goals such as stabilising banks and reducing erosion.

The Workshopwill start at the nursery with discussions around when planting should be used as a restoration activity, planting designs, species selection and ensuring planting success. After morning tea we will walk across to Jarrett Creek for a planting demonstration.

Please wear closed walking shoes, hat and long pants and bring a bottle of water.
