Event Details

Learn the theory of making your own starter, mix, shape by hand and bake your own sourdough loaves in the Uprising deck oven. Teaching you will be one of Uprising’s baking team, Craig Gardner. Craig learned to bake in San Francisco under Michel Suas; honing his skills at Sonoma and then Iggy’s in Sydney before opening his own wood fired bakery in St Andrews, Victoria. Craig has been part of Uprising for 4 years. He has completed his Masters in teaching at Newcastle University.

Refreshments, materials, your own starter culture, and the bread you bake and a recipe folder are all provided for you to take home.

Wear Non-slip covered shoes, hair tied back, and an apron.
