Women are shaping the ‘new’ economy.

The AWCCI, or Australian Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, was launched on International Women’s Day 2011 to ensure women in business have a voice in shaping policy and decision making.  After all, each year women globally inject up to $20 Trillion dollars into the economy and make the majority of consumer decisions  - we really are in the driving seat (of the car we choose to purchase).

Yolanda Vega is the CEO of AWCCI.  She was part of the delegation to represent Australia at the first Women's Economic Summit chaired by Hilary Clinton in September 2011 at APEC; in June 2012 she presented at the 2012 Women’s Economic Summit in Russia to 21 APEC economies. Yolanda also represented Australia as a ‘Young Leader’ at the 2009 International Women’s Forum World Conference.

And now, we are very pleased and honoured to bring Yolanda to Opal Cove Resort on September 6.... where she will share her findings from the first Australian National research on female entrepreneurs and business owners, the Declaration signed at the first women's economic summit by 21 economies, and what this all means for women running a business trying to survive and thrive today.
