One of the Arboretum's most important roles is to generate research and new knowledge about its rare, endangered and symbolic trees and forests and their ecology. With assistance from citizen science volunteers, students and academics, the National Arboretum is collecting data on the health and growth of the trees, soil moisture, seed production and fauna biodiversity.

Join a guide for a walk through our forests to learn more about current research projects and how they assist the Arboretum to manage its living collections.

Meet at the Information Desk in the Village Centre
