Express yourself in a fun workshop where you can paint your own porcelain tablewares.

Have you always wanted to dip your toe into the world of ceramics? Do you have an anniversary or birthday coming up and in need of a unique gift? Are you looking for a fun parent and child activity? Do you want to try something new?

Dusty Creations Ceramics is the studio of Penrith local Lucy Threlfo. She completed a Bachelor of Design at the University of New South Wales and has worked within the Australian porcelain manufacturing scene for over 7 years.As maker/designer at Dusty, Lucy combines intricate and bright illustrations with highly functional porcelain tableware.

A major goal of Lucy’s when beginning Dusty Creations Ceramics, is to use all Australian suppliers and manufacturers. This means when participating in this workshop you are supporting 100% Australian businesses from the porcelain slip used to create the pieces all the way to the kiln used to fire them.

This workshop is open to all abilities and experience levels. You will have the opportunity to freely decorate the surface of prepared porcelain wares created by Lucy. You will be provided with a number of shapes and designs to choose from as well as additional pieces available for purchase for decoration on the day.All equipment required will be supplied on the day.

Please note: The pieces painted on the day will NOT leave with you. They will be taken by Lucy, glazed, fired and delivered to you approximately a week after completion. All pieces once glazed and fired will be microwave and dishwasher safe.

What is included in ticket price:

• A pair of bisque fired mugs
• Underglazes or (ceramic paints) of a variety of colours
• Paint brushes
• Lead pencils
• One on one time with Lucy
• Glaze firing
• Delivery of glazed and fired pieces

What you need to bring:

• Any reference images
• An open mind
• An apron or clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
