George Greenhill Trio

At the age of 20, drummer George Greenhill has already worked as a sideman with a slew of leading musicians incl. Mike Nock, Aaron Blakey, Peter Koopman & Will Vinson. 

Now, George brings his own trio back to Butchers Brew, feat. acclaimed NZ artists Jonathan Zwartz on bass & Aaron Blakey on piano.

Jonathan Zwartz has played with legendary musicians such as Pharoah Sanders, Johnny Griffin & Branford Marsalis, as well as releasing three award-winning albums as a composer/ bandleader - “The Sea”, “The Remembering & Forgetting of the Air”, & “Animarum”. 

Aaron Blakey has recently released his wonderful new album “Obihiro”, featuring nine of his original compositions.

Tonight, the talented trio will be treating the audience to some of their original music as well as a few of their favourite standards.
