The Brisbane Improv Festival is excited to be hosting 22 Improvisation Workshops as part of the 2022 Festival with facilitators from all over Australia and New Zealand.
Ferris Wheel
Facilitated by Wade Jackson
Ferris Wheel is a delightful improv comedy show format created by Wade Jackson. It’s structure stops the improviser from running around on stage and forces them to connect to their partner and create a relationship.
This format is fabulous for those who love to perform character driven comedy. In this workshop you’ll learn to bring strong characters, develop relationships, be fully present, have an understanding of scenic variety, practice your storytelling skills and have lots of fun. It’s a wonderful workshop for those with short-form experience and wanting to do more long form improv in a safe environment. For those with long form experience it’s great practice to focus on relationships and developing them over time.
The show will be cast from workshop attendees, and allows for up to 15 performers.
Please note that any Festival shows cast from workshops is at the discretion of the show's director and is not guaranteed. Please go into workshops with a view to learning new improv skills and having fun. Any performance opportunity is a bonus.
