Due to Covid 19 Restrictions, this training will be held as a LIVE STREAM WEBINAR via ZOOM in the comfort of your own home.

You will receive a comprehensive manual to download and print + the Karma Classroom Activity Cards through the mail - 82 x A5 cards - a BRILLIANT resource that brings the workshop information to life in your classroom.

Completing this workshop will contribute 4 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 4.3.2 and 4.4.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW

A one day workshop focusing on 2 important initiatives:

1. Educator's Health and Wellbeing

In a job that can be very stressful as well as physically challenging, Educators often burn out quickly and/or become physically injured. The first part of this training leads Educators through a gentle adult yoga class and short meditation. They are given tools to manage their stress and anxiety levels, as well as their physical health and wellbeing.

2. Learn to weave aspects of kids yoga, breathing, meditation and mindfulness into the classroom on a daily basis

Daily bursts of yoga enhances the children's yoga experience by extending yoga beyond just the weekly classes. Educators are given short yoga sequences, and gain an understanding of how different breathing techniques can be used effectively to manage various forms of child stress, as well as challenging classroom situations.

The training equips educators with ideas for keeping children engaged, calm, interested and focused, and a resource kit, packed with ideas, that can be used at various times across a day.

  • The online event is 5 hours in duration (incl 30 min lunch break and 2x 15 minute breaks)
  • Teachers receive 4 Professional Development points towards their Proficient Teacher Accreditation
  • Each particapant receives a comprehensive manual to download + The Karma Classroom Cards - 82 x A5 cards that bring the workshop information to life in your classroom - a BRILLIANT resource. 

Additional Information

  • Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.
  • Create a quiet space with place for a yoga mat and a chair.
  • Download and print the manual prior to the training.

Refunds up to 14 days before the event, Refunds after 14 days will not be given but the ticket can be transferred to another.
