Description of SEPTEMBER ON-LINE immunology4bpts course 2020

The SEPTEMBER ON-LINE immunology4bpts course aims to provide essential knowledge about the basic science of the immune system, and how this translates into clinical medicine. It will give a thorough coverage of basic immunobiology, and use this background to explain some specific immunological conditions, including immunodeficiency, allergy and vasculitis. The practice of medicine right now is in the process of being revolutionised by the advent of new therapeutics, mostly biologicals, almost all targeting basic immunological mechanisms in order to alter disease processes, and this is occurring in almost all specialties of medicine. This course will therefore give trainees of all disciplines the skills necessary to understand these agents into the future and be able to apply those skills to whatever specialty they choose.

Please note we are holding two ON-LINE immunology4bpts courses this year, one SEPTEMBER ON-LINE COURSE on the weekend of the 12th-13th September 2020 and one  OCTOBER ON-LINE COURSE on the weekend of the 24th and 25th October 2020. Both courses will present the same content but the speakers will vary. We advise that you need to book early to secure your place in either of these courses. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER FOR THE CORRECT COURSE as changing may not always be available and will involve a $50 transfer fee.

Please note that registration entitles the registrant to ONE log-in for ONE person.

A week before the course each registrant will: be emailed their unique on-line login  and mailed the comprehensive full colour course Manual for lectures,

By registering you agree:

• NOT to share your log-in with any person or persons.
• NOT to attempt to record, reproduce or distribute ANY material from the course, in any format whatsoever.
• NOT to share your lecture screen with any other person or persons at any time.

Any attempt to breach this agreement will result in immediate cancellation of your log-in with no refund.

Registration closes when the course is full.

Places are strictly limited so please register as soon as possible. A full refund is available to those who cancel in writing before the 12th August 2020 for the ON-LINE COURSE. We regret that due to the costs of printing and mailing of the Lecture Notes Manual, no refund will be possible after the 12th August 2020 for the SEPTEMBER ON-LINE COURSE.

When all places have been filled we encourage you to place your name on the waiting list, as we often have cancellations, right up to the course date. Should a place become available you will be contacted via email and have 12 hours to accept, otherwise your place will be offered to another trainee.

Late registration may be available at the discretion of the secretariat, but will incur a $50 late fee. Please contact the secretariat for availability.

Please note that the majority of lectures will be given by a single lecturer: in the event that Prof Fulcher is unavailable due to ill health or other unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of registration will be made (minus any booking and processing fees), but unfortunately no other expenses incurred can be refunded.
