This event will explore technology and resilience by bringing together three conferences:

SSSI NSW & WA Online Conference: 30 November 2020

The Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute is Australia's peak body representing the interests of surveying and spatial science professionals. SSSI's online conference will feature keynote speakers who are leaders in the industry will set the scene for the current climate change science. Presenters will give a geospatial perspective on monitoring and analysis of climate change and disaster related events. 

Geographic Information for Disaster Management (GI4DM): 2 - 3 December 2020

Gi4DM is an annual conference devoted to the use and application of geo-information technology in disaster management. The fundamental goal of the conference is to provide a forum where disaster managers, stakeholders, researchers, data providers and system developers can discuss challenges, share experience, discuss new ideas, demonstrate technology and analyse future research toward better support of risk and disaster management activities. Gi4DM 2020 is the 13th edition of this conference. You can visit the previous GI4DM conferences.

Urban Resilience Asia Pacific 2 (URAP2): 3 - 4 December 2020

Within the overall theme of urban resilience, this conference aims to explore three issues in particular - readiness, security and transparency - in relation to crises. This conference is for practitioners, researchers, decision-makers and anyone interested in a safer world. Focusing on the Asia Pacific region, its aim is to identify, explore and discuss realisable social, political and economic measures that build resilience for vulnerable urban dwellers.
