Income Protection Insurance - Regulatory changes

Significant changes are coming to the life insurance market in Australia that may impact you.

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) announced on the 2nd December 2019 a number of measures to force life insurers to address issues with income protection insurance.

As a result, the design and some key features of current policies may no longer be available from the 31^st of March 2020.

If you already have cover in place, these changes will have no impact on your policy - you will be able to keep your existing policy along with any existing features. But if you don’t yet have cover there is a window of opportunity between now and the 31^st of March 2020 to apply for a policy.

Our building is very close to St Leonards train station or buses along the Pacific Highway. Nearby street parking is mostly 2hr metered and is quite limited as there is a lot of construction happening in the area, however there are two carparks where you can pre-book a space:

1. https://parkmonkey.com.au/ - operate casual car parking spaces in our building (69 Christie Street, ST LEONARDS). You will need to pre-book a space via the ParkMonkey website and use the code emailed to you to access the carpark.  Please make sure that you only park in Park Monkey labelled spaces as cars incorrectly parked do get clamped/towed.
2. Wilson carpark - almost opposite our building.
