The Community Online Blended Course provides the option for individuals to be eligible to become accredited as Mental Health First Aiders during social distancing requirements due to Covid-19. The course focuses on assisting you to identify mental health problems and illnesses in those aged 18-65 in the community and learning practical, evidence-based ways that you can assist and build up their safety net.

Participants will need to first complete the e-learning content from MHFA Australia. This e-learning must be completed by 12 hours prior to the first session online. It will take approximately 5-7 hours for you to complete it at your own pace. You will be provided with an online version of the Standard manual with the e-learning and you will also have the option of being provided with a hard copy of the manual which will be sent to you from MHFA Australia.

The online face to face/instructor led component will be delivered over 2 x 2.5 hour sessions on Zoom. You will not need to download Zoom for these sessions. You will be provided with the link and course details 1 week prior to the first online led session of the course.
