MEMENTO MORI - DEATH MUSEUM

The Memento Mori Death Museum is joining APPI Ghost Hunts & Tours to bring you our incredible experience!

The museum will feature True Crime Author and Serial Killer Whisperer Amanda Howard’s astounding, private collection of correspondence with killers from across the globe as well as artwork, rare photographs, crime scene photographs, original announcements, Victorian Post Mortem photographs, freak animal taxidermy, and so much more! This collection comes from blood, sweat and tears, and has been built over a hundred years, from different generations of Amanda's family. There will be so much for you to see in this one-of-a-kind exhibit!

The museum will take place in the Visitors Centre of Parramatta Gaol, an entirely unique space dedicated to a death related topic, such as executions, crime scenes and historical artefacts.

The Memento Mori experience is largely a self-guided tour lasting approximately 45 minutes to an hour, as there are hundreds of items on display.

There is no age limit for the Death Museum because death affects us all, however we STRONGLY recommend that much of the material is for MATURE AUDIENCES! Some content within the exhibits may be too graphic or explicit for children, and no children will be allowed in without a parent being present.

Entry to the Death Museum allows you into the Visitors Centre of the gaol only. But fear not, we will also be running tours while the death museum is happening, so if you are curious about seeing the rest of the gaol, you can purchase a ticket to a tour. These quick tours are predominantly history based, with a few spooky stories thrown in here and there. They will be running every 45 minutes, and will be $20 per person. There is no age limit for these tours, but please be aware of impressionable minds and adult content. Tickets to the tour will occur on the day.

A BBQ will be set up for you to grab yourself a sausage sizzle and drink on the grounds of the Gaol. The BBQ will be in operation from 3pm until 10pm.

Please note, there will be a limit of people permitted into the museum at any given time, so please space out your arrival to avoid waiting in a queue.

By purchasing tickets you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions of the Death Museum. Photos or videos are not permitted of the exhibit, apart from the few items which are marked permissible for photography. This museum contains adult content, please be aware of that before entering the gaol. As stated in the body of information above, entry to the death museum gives you access to the Visitors centre only. Parking is available along the back of the gaol or street parking is available on the corner of New/Dunlop Streets. APPI is not responsible for the content of the Death Museum, the content solely belongs to Amanda Howard. Promotional photographs may be taken and by purchasing a ticket to the Death Museum or tour of the premises you agree to your photo being used. No refunds for Death Museum or tour of facility permitted.
