Shakespeare in the Garden

Join us for Shakespeare's greatest tragic masterpiece Romeo and Juliet - one of his most well-known and heart-wrenching plays - as The Bathurst Shakespeare Players and Abercrombie House provide a perfect, magnificent setting for a sumptuous production performed by a youthful and talented cast under the direction of Bronwyn Colley, as we present our eighth Shakespeare season in our seventh year. Shakespeare-in-the-Garden invites you to bring a picnic or pre-order one from Abercrombie House, BYO some wine & snacks, or purchase wine by-the-glass, join us on the grass or in our seating for a performance commencing at dusk and concluding at about 9.45 pm with the house magnificently floodlit for the show. These productions traditionally book-out so get your tickets early - as we celebrate Shakespeare once again! We will have wine & champagne for purchase by-the-glass as well as barista coffee, tea & hot chocolate. Abercrombie House is an accredited covid-safe destination for your welbeing.
