Disability Awareness & Engagement – making your group or club more accessible

Facilitator: Scope

Details: Make your club or community group more welcoming and able to cater for all people in Knox bybetter understanding the challenges and barriers experienced by people with disabilities. This introductory program will provide an overview of different disabilities and promote an understanding of their related challenges. Participants will focus on individual needs and better understand the tools available to interact more effectively and with confidence and learn ways to promote a more inclusive environment through language.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand how to promote an inclusive environment.
• Better understand a range of disabilities and how to engage and welcome new members.
