You’re invited to join the Singleton Women in Business (#SWIB) at our International Women’s Day event on 6 March 2020 as we come together to celebrate women’s achievements and strive to create a gender equal world.
The theme for 2020 is #EachforEqual is about 'Collective Individualism'.
We are all parts of a whole. Our individual actions, conversations, behaviours and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society.
Collectively, we can make change happen. Collectively, we can each help to create a gender equal world.
We can all choose to be #EachforEqual.
This is particularly poignant as our town commemorates its bicentennial by acknowledging the long and rich history of people and cultures stretching back over thousands of years in #BacktoSingleton2020.
Our Garden Party will be an afternoon event held at the breath-taking Sacred Spaces in Singleton from 12 noon – 2pm.
Our guest speakers are women in our community who challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions and improve social situations every day.
Our speakers include;
*Renee McDonald – Program Manager, Girls Academy, Singleton High School
*Girls Academy – Singleton High School, the largest in-school mentoring and leadership program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls in Australia.
*Ngaire Baker – External Relations Manager MACH Energy, Mt Pleasant. 2019 Finalist – NSW Minerals Council ‘Exceptional Woman in Mining, NSW’
*Mary-Anne Holland – Warrant Officer Class Two, School of Infantry
