Matt has played with many iconic Australian groups, including ‘The Hippos’, & the ‘Continental Blues Party’ with Robert Susz, along with the best musos in town. He has toured with & backed many international stars including Denny Freeman (Stevie Ray/ Jimmie Vaughan, Bob Dylan), Johnnie Johnson (Chuck Berry), ‘Kid Bangham’ of ‘The Fabulous Thunderbirds’, honking rhythm & blues Saxophonist Big Jay McNeely, & the recently departed Arkansas country star ‘Sleepy LaBeef’, to name a few. 

He earned the moniker ‘The Rumble’ after forming a gritty Link Wray instrumental surf band, named ‘The Rumble’!
