Hudson Arc

Hudson Arc’s music is hard to categorise. With descriptions ranging from “melancholic pop” to “pirate punk folk”, the band use diverse and broad brushstrokes in their musical arrangements. Gareth Hudson, who fronts the band, is a producer/composer who has worked with artists including Hilltop Hoods, Last Kinection, Amy Vee and The Buddy Knox Blues Band. He has teamed up with the classical string trio Ensemble Arc (Tadijana Ilicic – violin, Rachel Pogson – cello, Jamie Pollock – viola) to create a live show, where one moment they journey through beguiling lilting sounds that create a peaceful, reflective atmosphere, and the next, a blood-pumping crescendo that makes you remember you are alive! Hudson Arc bring their songs to life onstage through the use of complex live looping and intricate string layers.  Freshly back from tours of Germany, France, Czech Republic, Slovakia and the UK, they’ll be performing songs from their debut album “In An Ocean Of Sacrifice” and showcasing new songs for a second album due for release in March 2014.

"These guys come loaded with quality old-school styling as they use classical training to make their 'deliberate pop' creations. And it works".
