The 2009 Hunter and Central Coast Export Awards

The awards showcase innovative Hunter & Central Coast exporting businesses. They reward and profile the “best of the best” businesses in taking their products and services to the world. The awards are recognition of the effort, expertise and resources that they have consistently contributed to export. For the first time, this years awards will be open to exporters from the Central Coast.

The Hunter & Central Coast Export Awards are organised by the Hunter Export Centre, which is part of the Hunter Economic Development Corporation. They are keenly supported by local industry leaders, government organisations and industry groups who are committed to developing exporting in the region.

A gala awards ceremony will be held at the Hunter School of Performing Arts Theatre on May 22 to celebrate and recognise the regions innovative and successful exporters.The awards are also a feature event of the 2009 Hunter and Central Coast Innovation Festival.

There are five awards up for grabs:

• Emerging Exporter of the Year Award
• Small Established Exporter of the Year Award
• Large Established Exporter of the Year  Award 
• Upper Hunter Exporter of the Year Award. 
• All entrants will compete for the prestigious Hunter and Central Coast Exporter of the Year Award.

Entrants can also elect to go through to the NSW Export Awards. Last year, a number of Hunter & Central Coast exporters won NSW State Export Awards. For more details go to  www.hunterexporters.com.au
