Little did we think that a single throw away comment "We can do that, no problem!!", made at a friends dinner party, could have such dire and far reaching consequences.
The Avon Descent has been described as the "world's greatest white water event" encompassing over 130 kms of terrifying seat of the pants rapids with kilometre after kilometre of muscle wrenching flat water paddling.
So, with only a few months to go, we need to make sure that all of this madness will not be in vain.
With this in mind, we have decided to raise as much money as possible for a charity right here in Western Australia. This charity is called RDAWA (Riding for the Disabled in Western Australia).
RDAWA is a charity which is dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities, through the provision of opportunities for riding. This enables people to improve their health and wellbeing, delivering a real and lasting therapy that not only benefits mobility and co-ordination, but encourages confidence and self worth whilst having fun.
To see these children riding around the enclosure, led by a very caring volunteer, is not only heart warming but really quite inspirational.
Please help us to help them, a small donation of $5.00 can go a long way to help put a smile on the the kids faces (feel free to donate more, all donations over $2.00 are tax deductible). This will help us make the boast that “we could do that, no problem” made all of those months ago worthwhile.

Thank You
