This November, travel to Mudgee for the weekend for a special treat.  Di Lusso Estate, one of Australia’s most picturesque wineries, is hosting an evening of Italian food, wine and poetry set to music.  

The evening features a performance of the Italian song cycle Tra Parole e Silenzio (Between Words and Silence). The songs will take you on a journey of the heart, based on the poignant poetry of the late human rights lawyer, Eduardo di Giovanni. 

Performers include acclaimed members of the jazz-world fusion band, Mara!: Paul Cutlan, Lloyd Swanton, Llew Kiek, Mara Kiek and Sandy Evans, together with the voices of Martenitsa choir and soloists, Mara Kiek and Silvia Entcheva.

Treat your taste buds as well as your ears. Enjoy the concert with canapés, an aperitive, dinner, a complimentary glass of wine and cheese platter.

Mara! and Martenitsa have performed together at music festivals in Europe and Australia. They aim to bring the Italian suite to Europe in 2015.

The concert is set in the grounds of Di Lusso Estate, onoverlooking the lake,  olive groves and vineyards which support a range of Italian varietal wines.
