What better way to celebrate the end of the weekend than with a
little bit of controversy? Burlesque Bar proudly presents ATROCITY-
Burlesque du Grand Guignol ...a
dark journey into the mind of man that has already seen audience
members laughing, crying...fainting!...and coming back for more!
The
brainchild of Paul Moder and Natalia Ristovska, ATROCITY came into
fruition in late 2007 in the form of a wicked dinner theatre show named
INFERNO . After a brief stint on the stage that got both writers and
directors fired for misconduct, it morphed it's dark way onto the
cabaret and burlesque scene, making a brief appearance at last year's
Short and Sweet Cabaret Festival in the form of CONFESSIONAL- THE FALL
OF FATHER DE LORDE - a violent little vignette about the sexual
awakening of a little girl named Ella, and a parish priest trying to
protect her from her fall from grace...and his own.
And now,
finally, Burlesque Bar exclusively brings you the first in a series of
shows that will leave audience's stripped bare of virtue, prejudice and
inhibition. Come into the dark world of Anton De Lorde, Goddesses
Forma (Beauty), Veritas (Truth) and Atrocitas (Horror), and Helliquin
Guignol, where the only thing taboo is judgment...and anything can
happen!
Featuring Burlesque stars Scarlett and Miss Nic, Femme C Madame
Natalia, Australian Actor and Producer Paul Moder (Razor Eaters), and up-and-coming cabaret artist Craig Delaland (Circus Kaos), ATROCITY will
change the face of burlesque the world over. Come and join the
revolution...if you dare.
