World renowned Berlin based violinist and composer/producer Daniel Weltlinger (Lulo Reinhardt, Karsten Troyke, Monsieur Camembert, Nadya and Zoran's 101 Candles Orchestra) returns to Camelot Lounge to present a night of music celebrating the musical legacy of the influential Belgian-born, French Gypsy guitarist/composer Django Reinhardt. Weltlinger completed his 7 years in the making trilogy tribute to Django Reinhardt in 2017, all three albums which received rave reviews worldwide including the critically acclaimed 'Koblenz' album which received a 5-Star review in Downbeat in 2015 and was amongst the recordings hailed as “masterpieces” in its list of the Best Albums of 2015. For this very special evening the lineup will consist of a classic 'hot club' lineup comprised of Aaron Flower, Nigel Date and Cameron Jones on guitars, Stan Valacos on bass and Edouard Bronson on horns and accordion. Don't miss!

'This album is often so swollen with beauty it is like time-lapse photography of tulips blooming. The final instalment of Daniel Weltlinger’s trilogy paying homage to Django Reinhardt, it consists of Weltlinger’s own compositions – from lilting waltzes to surging swing – played with a band including his long-term collaborator Lulo Reinhardt (Django’s great-nephew) on guitar. Several tracks have no fewer than five acoustic rhythm guitars (played by Lulo and his nephews, underpinned by Harold Becher’s bass) creating the sort of thrust usually associated with jet engines, and if that wasn’t going to get Weltlinger’s violin airborne nothing would.' - 'Samoreau' review by John Shand, Sydney Morning Herald April 2017

'music transcends boundaries' - 'Koblenz', Downbeat Best Albums of 2015

'Flawless playing' - 'Souvenirs' review by Seth Jordan, Limelight Magazine November 2011
