Violinist Robert Zielinski will fill the wonderful acoustics of Fremantle’s Kidogo Arthouse with his haunting selection of traditional airs and electrically charged strathpeys, reels, jigs and original compositions on Friday August 3^rd. With accompaniment on guitar from Steve Barnes; this promises to be a one of a kind night of spine-chilling acoustic music straight from the shores of Ireland. To compliment this enchanting midwinter evening overlooking the beautiful Bathers Beach, mulled wine will be provided for your winter comfort and blankets and cushions are welcome, so prepare your selves to settle in and be transported.

Robert has spent 14 years exploring Ireland and its surrounding region and studying under some of the world’s most reputable traditional musicians. He has toured extensively throughout Europe and America and in the year 2000 he won Ireland’s Michael Coleman Traditional Fiddle Player of the Year Award.  A musician who learnt entirely by ear, Robert’s music is filled with a raw emotion and other worldly energy that never fails to hold its audiences captive. Robert has recently played to full houses in the Fly By Night Club, Kulcha, Fairbridge Festival (where he celebrated the release of his new album “Out West” with Donegal fiddle legend Mick Doherty), and Kidogo Arthouse.

Steve Barnes is a well known Perth session musician and organiser of Fairbridge Music Festival.

Doors open for the concert at 7:30pm, for an 8pm start. Tickets will be sold on sticky tickets for $25 and on the door if available. Seating is limited. Kidogo Arthouse is located on Mews Road, adjacent to Bathers Beach, on the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour.
