Words like psychedelic, IDM, glitch, drum & bass, dubstep and ambient, are relevant, but then again, not quite adequate. Itsu's lush, underwater soundscapes and ethereal melodies sooth the listener into a false sense of security before exploding into a barrage of distorted granular synthesis, rumbling sub bass and frenetic break beats. There is something strangely familiar about these tracks, but at the same time, they're not quite like anything you've heard before.
