Musical Matinees

Musical Matinees inspires audiences & artists alike through the production of a series of classical music concerts in the Hunter region. We offer local audiences the unique opportunity to engage with local artists of a professional standard in an accessible setting while ensuring that every artist employed by the organisation is paid for their contribution.

In 2016 we will be offering 3 Gala concerts at Newcastle, Port Stephens and Nelson Bay. We also have 3 of our more intimate, Artsong concerts in Newcastle and possibly in private venues elsewhere. 

We will also have spontaneous concert opportunities throughout the year. Our first one will be an early music concert on 30th April with 2 choirs and I Cantarini and their fabulous medieval madrigals and an ancient instrument.
