MY LIFE. MY STYLE. was originally a fun quirky personal blog I began promoting my fundraising events through this site and year on year these events have grown. Now MY LIFE. MY STYLE. is the hub for my two annual fundraisers "Brisbane's Biggest Morning Tea" held in May/June and "Breast Friends Night In" held in October, both proudly supporting the Cancer Council QLD.
While looking for additional PR opportunities and marketing strategies to assist in the promotion of these events I decided I might involve a world record attempt to gain a little more exposure... well a little is now A LOT! MY LIFE. MY STYLE. are excited to be attempting to break the current world record to the "World's Longest Bra Chain" with $1 being donated with each bra donated. The whole $1 donated is being donated to the Cancer Council QLD, while the bras are joined together to make the chain. Our goal is 200,000 bras and in turn raising $200,000 for much needed cancer prevention research.
We are also excited to have over 100 businesses around Australia collecting bras and bucks for the record attempt and in return we are proudly promoting their businesses helping to gain them additional traffic in these tough economic times.
Finally we will be sorting through the bras and those that are still wearable will be donated to those less fortunate than us.
