SNOBS - Social Network for Opportunistic Businesswomen

snobs.com.au is an online magazine and social network created for Australian businesswomen. SNOBS – Social Network for Opportunistic Businesswomen – is operated from Newcastle by journalist and former, local radio announcer, Carlee Potter.

SNOBS’ is a resource for news, information and inspiration where career-driven women (and men, too) can promote themselves for free by contributing advice or know-how and interacting with the site.  

It was inspired by the simple ingredients that make networking groups such a success; guidance, companionship, encouragement and sharing of information.

While there’s no stand-in for the rewards or friendships that result from face-to-face contact, SNOBS’ philosophy is… sometimes there’s no time to attend a business card swap meet. Sometimes valuable connections are made when you reach out to help a complete stranger online and, most of the time, “socialising leads to opportunity.”
