The Wellness Warrior programme includes these five key aspects:
1. Just move – your body, brain and emotions needs movement to be healthy, alert and balanced.
2. Be aware – your body has a voice and are you listening?
3. Nourish – Food is your medicine. What is the quality of your medicine?
4. Breathe – shallow, rapid upper chest breathing is the consequence of stress. In Oriental philosophy rapid, shallow breathing causes the mind to become chaotic. Slow the breath down, you slow the mind down.
5. Relax – Recreation for Re-creation. We heal when we are relaxed. Injuries, illnesses and accidents according to Taoist philosophy is nature’s way of enforcing balance.
