SCENT BOOTCAMP - What to Expect?

Embark on an Exclusive Journey

Join Professional Scent Detection Handlers Jason, Jp and Alex, Drawing from Military, Police and Search and Rescue Expertise, for an Intensive Workshop Experience.

This 3 day workshop is set up to include Theory and practical training that will help you implement strategies and methods to take your scent detection to the next level.

Each day will include 1 x Theory session with an instructor, followed by 4 x practical sessions covering the topic throughout the day with a number of exciting and beneficial exercises and techniques to help you implement that days theory into practice.

Working spots are separated into their training level and each group will work with each instructor during each day.

each working session is between 2 - 2.5 hours with an instructor and working spots are limited so that dogs have the maximum amount of time with each trainer.

Auditors can choose which session and which instructor to audit throughout the day

Day One: Dive into Scent Theory with Alex, Followed by Four Practical Sessions Unraveling Scent Picture Puzzles and Cones.

Day Two: Master SLAM and Search Techniques with Jason Hill, Equipping You and Your Dog for Precision Searches through Theory Workshops and Four Hands-On Sessions.

Day Three: Delve into Teamwork Essentials with JP, Learning the Art of Cohesive Handling and Achieving Success Together, Culminating in an Ultimate Search Guided by All Three Instructors with Live Feedback.

Throughout the Workshop: Gain Insights on Essential Topics, Benefit from Training Sessions with All Instructors, and Receive Reference Materials to Support Ongoing Learning.

Who is this workshop suitable for?

This Scent Bootcamp is suitable to anyone with a dog interested in Scent work, including those competing, training to compete, working in the industry or looking to learn all about this amazing sport!

Working spots must already be on odour - Birch for Novice Level and All odours for the others. All working spot dogs must be able to either wait in their vehicle or be crated away from their handlers for period of time.
Levels for working spots include the following

  1. Level 1 - Novice or new into advanced trialling
  2. Level 2 - Advanced / excellent triallers
  3. Level 3 -Masters and wanting to compete in Ultimate

Auditors can choose to watch any level, and do not have any prerequisites. 

Refund Policy

Refunds up to 14 days before the event, Tickets can be resold privately to friends with notification to the event organiser of the attendee name change. If you are looking for a replacement for your ticket please contact the event organiser as we might have a waitlist
