What is a munch?
Think of munches as a cozy social gathering where like-minded individuals come together to chat, connect, and share experiences related to BDSM. there's no intimidating dungeons, dress code or expectations here – just good company, great conversations, and perhaps a drink or a snack or two!

The Kink.Ed munch is a way for kinksters to meet in a social environment, get to know one another and make new friends. This ticketed event ensures we have the whole venue to relax and enjoy open discussions comfortably.

Bring your kit and do some show and tell or just yourself. Or look at the personal kits of our two puuurrrtastic hosts Kitty Katastrophy and Kitty Obsidian. Our hosts are ready to give you a few pointers and chat about their own journey.

Join us for a night filled with curiosity and conversation. 

Feel like throwing some axes while you're at the munch? No problem! Make sure you see Valhalla staff before you grab an alchoholic drink and they'll set you right up!

This venue has snacks on hand or you can uber something else in.

Kink.Ed will have a mat area for rope interested/experienced people to jam and chat. And other areas for different forms of kink.

We encourage a supportive environment that is about community and sharing knowledge and excitement.

The main floor features a range of high tables and bar stools where you can sit and talk and observe. The venue is fully accessible with ramps at the front and fully accessible toilets at the rear of the venue.

We recognize that our BIPOC, trans & disabled community members are often underprivileged and, as a result, miss out on many experiences and opportunities. About the hosts:

Kitty Katastrophy:
Kitty has moved through the BDSM community from strength to strength with over 15 years of involvement in the Melbourne scene. Having entered the world of BDSM at the age of 18, her curiosity for kink was born in the prominent hard-core BDSM club Klub Kunst in Melbourne. Throughout her time in the community, Kitty has explored various facets of kink and has developed a deep understanding of sensual dominance and brat dynamics.

Passionate about impact play and education, Kitty has dedicated herself to helping newcomers navigate and thrive within the kink community. Recognizing the importance of foundational skills, she has facilitated and taught skill shares covering a wide range of topics. Running under the name “The Newbie Den” from 2012 to 2015 from her home and also at venues catering to the West. She has bridged the gap between fledgling and flying kinksters by collaborating with esteemed community members such as Master Joe, Kim MJ's Girl, Snake, and Master Jack. These skillshares aimed to equip individuals with the necessary tools to not only survive but thrive with confidence in the BDSM community.

Kitty Obsidian:
Fierce, fat and fAborigional! Kitty Obsidian is a proud Australian First Nations performer & staple in the caberet community travelling worldwide! Hailed as aggressively queer, this non-binary finery picks up tag lines, admirers & accolades no matter where they go. Teacher and mentor at Bottoms up Pole & Burlesque school, Kitty has created the Haus of Obsidian. An all BIPOC, queer drag family dedicated to mentoring and uplifting fellow artists. VIC NAIDOC LGBTIQ+ person of the year 2022, Kitty loves to bring their award-winning brand of activism to their art. In addition, they are known for being a public speaker and educational facilitator for queer and trans rights, disability and body acceptance and the intersectionality of this with their indigenous culture.

Specialising in sideshow & fetish burlesque, Kitty is a lifelong kinkster. Working in the fetish community from the tender age of 18, they have been an educator, events creator & host all over Australia for more than a decade! Working as a Dominatrix in Qld before moving to Vic they are Dubbed 'the jewel in Melbourne's kinky crown' by Melbourne Rubber. Kitty loves to work alongside other kinksters to provide premium fetish performances, education & content for every event & situation!
