Skillorama 2025

WHEN - Saturday 6 September 2025 – 11:00am to 3:00pm.

WHERE - Redcliffe Showgrounds, Scarborough Road, Redcliffe.

WHAT - Activity fun day for younger youth members (Joey Scouts & Cub Scouts and Guides

THEME – Scouting Around the World, so get prepared to challenge yourself!

WHO - Participants can be Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts and Guides (5-11 yo) – Also, BRING A FRIEND.

COST - $15 per Youth Member and $5 per Adult Leader or Supporter (event entry only, see below for other items).  Pre-booking is essential.

BBQ LUNCH - Clontarf Beach will be running a Sausage Sizzle BBQ for the event - pre-order is required as part of your registration. Costs as follow: Sausage - $3.50 each, Soft drink/Popper - $2.00 each

WOODEN WOGGLES - We are excited to have our traditional Skillorama wooden woggles back this year - pre-order is required as part of your registration. Costs as follow: Plain wooden woggle: $3.00 each, Pyrography with name: $5.00 each (Single name & 2025 only)

Skillorama is an activity for the WHOLE Group – it has two key elements:

• Activities for Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts and the Guide equivalent – potential to be “Adventurous, Challenging, Fun, and Inclusive” (ACFI) and much more
• Activity Bases (majority but not all) planned, established and run by the Scouts and Venturer Scouts supported by Leaders and Adult Supporters

NOTE: Activity plans and Risk Assessments to be submitted to DC Murrumba before COB Friday 16 August.

• Rover Scout can assist on the bases, but we would appreciate their support in other ways (see below Volunteer opportunities)
• Activity Base set-up can occur from 7:00am Saturday morning with access to the Showgrounds Main Arena via Lamington Drive for Trailers. (All other vehicles are to use main entrance and stay in carpark) – NO overnight camping available
