Join us for this 'come & try' session of - Tap Dancing (seated or standing), presented by Tanya James School of Dance, as part of our launch day activities for 'Grow Old Gloriously!' - Knox Seniors Festival 2022.

Tanya James has been teaching dance classes in the Knox community for over 30 years.

She believes you're never too young or too old to dance. And most of all, dance is fun!

Come and find your dancing feet. Designed for beginners, Tanya will introduce you to a range of tap steps - from heel and toe, to shuffle, step and ball change - and build those steps into a fun dance. You're sure to enjoy the music too.

This class is accessible to everyone. All steps and choreography will be tailored to suit different physical abilities and fitness levels.

Bring a water bottle, wear clothes that make you feel comfortable to move in and supportive footwear (runners/sports shoes).

And most of all, bring your smile, a sense of humour and enjoy the company of a friendly seniors community!

Please note:

It is a condition of booking that each participant completes a ‘Come and Try-Waiver Form’ prior to entering their chosen activity.

Forms can be completed online and emailed to cplc@knox.vic.gov.au or handed to reception staff at the relevant venue on the day of your activity.

If you are unable to complete the form online, please arrive to your chosen activity 15 minutes early to allow for time to complete the form in person.

Only those who have completed the ‘Come and Try- Waiver Form’ will be permitted to participate in Come and Try Activities. This form is only required for physical/fitness activities.

If you require further information on the ‘Come and Try-Waiver Form’, please phone 9763 8455.
