Mediators are people who have been trained to help in conflict. They are neutral and allow opposing parties to express their grievances in a civil way. After evaluating and deciding the positions of each party and their arguments for or against certain activities and actions, they return to the opposing sides with their verdict. Then, they assist the parties in brokering a compromise that eventually leads to a solution. These individuals are often called upon to help in the resolution or broker deals between two people when the solution is too complex to resolve without their intervention but not too minor to go to court.
However, mediation requires a large amount of investment in time and funds . These are two precious commodities that must be considered from both the individual and the business or organisation who employs them.
Paramount Training and Development now offers a course in mediation training for those who are able and willing to learn. Experts and many correspondents were consulted during the creation, implementation and teaching of this challenging but essential profession. They have taken into consideration the most efficient and comprehensive strategies.
