XtrAct Drama - April School Holiday Workshop 2026

There are two workshops on offer for our April School Holidays:

WORKSHOP ONE

"Who Dunnit?"
Ages 8 - 11 years
9am - 11am

A drama games workshop for mystery solving sleuths. Play the games to solve each clue and by workshops end you will have enough clues to solve the mystery question.

This is a fun workshop which pushes young actors to hone their skills in critical and creative thinking, and working as part of a team. Each game we play is an acting game and will therefore also allow participants to also work on their stage craft.

This workshop is appropriate for beginners and up.

WORKSHOP TWO

"Project Chimera" - Dare to Create
Ages 12 - 17 years
11:30am - 3:30pm

Story Ideation - The Creative Process of Producing, Developing and Investigating Original Ideas to Build a Story. In this workshop, actors are asked to join like-minded creative youth to share, develop and test their own creative ideas in a supportive environment.

Participants will be asked to bring along one idea that they would love to develop into a performance. This does not have to be a whole idea, but can simply be a seed of an idea, such as a theme. For example, perhaps you've always wanted to see a play developed about sea slugs.

Over the course of four hours, as a group, we will share these ideas and make space to play with them to uncover their potential.
