Between them, PERCIVAL STACK carry a remarkable depth of experience. PHIL STACK is a revered jazz musician who founded iconic Australian rock-pop band Thirsty Merc in the late 1990s, a group that continues to tour nationally to this day. DARREN PERCIVAL brings 40 years of touring, recording & vocal coaching to the partnership, & his soul-stirring performances on the first series of The Voice Australia in 2012 remain the stuff of legend. Together, PERCIVAL STACK craft deeply considered interpretations of classic songs drawn from across the musical spectrum, reimagined for double bass & the human voice. They also draw on original music from their individual bodies of work, as well as new compositions born from their collaboration. Their live concerts are less performance than experience - raw, real & utterly riveting. In an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, there is something rare & powerful about being in the room with two people making real music shared straight from the heart.
