Peter Koopman Quartet

For the past decade, guitarist, composer & NZer Peter Koopman has called Sydney home. Drawing inspiration from Australia’s rich & diverse music scene, he has developed a unique musical voice & a high level of versatility on the guitar, & was the winner of the 2022 National Jazz Awards at the Wangaratta jazz festival. 

In 2023, he released his debut album "Now Where", a collection of original tunes recorded live at Golden Retriever studios.  Also sought-after as a sideman, he has performed around Australia & internationally with artists such as Vince Jones, Katie Noonan, Aloe Blacc, Donny Benét & Matt McMahon, among others. 

Tonight, his quartet will present a program of original music new & old, as well as a few favourites from the jazz tradition.
