This year we welcome four female internationally recognised artists, Caroline Scott, Heike van Gunst, Marcela Ferreira and Sandra Grlica, to share their expertise, influences, experiences and enthusiasm through workshops and live demonstrations. Each with their own area of speciality, these professional artists carry the legacy of the bonsai masters into the future whilst developing and exploring the boundaries of the artform.

Acclaimed Australian bonsai artist Marcela Ferriera is celebrated for her pioneering work with native species and her commitment to bonsai education. WHAT TO BRING:

• You will need to bring up to two suitable trees, we recommend trees that have anatomical features to work on with sufficient branches for styling.
• Having two trees will allow the facilitator to have a choice if one is not suitable. A suitable tree would have 3 hours of work in it.
• Please bring your own tools and wire.
• Bring a turntable if you have one handy and small wooden chocks to change the angle of your tree (a small number of both will be available to use if you do not have any).

Class size limited to 8 people, so be quick to secure your spot for this popular workshop.

Workshops will be held in the Margaret Whitlam Pavilion.

Bonsai Reshaped is held at the National Arboretum Canberra, home to the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection of Australia (NBPCA) and is made possible by the assistance of the Bonsai Trust Fund.

Details of any Bonsai Reshaped event may be changed without prior notice. Artists may be added, withdrawn or substituted for workshops and events. Wherever possible, the National Arboretum Canberra will advise consumers of event changes prior to the commencement of the workshop/event, or at the event where prior notice is not possible.
