This is a practical hands on workshop 

Bring along your laptop, connect to our wifi, and leave with an amazing facebook page that works for your business.


In this workshop you will create an effective and targeted social media asset package for your Facebook page, review your page description, profile image and banner to ensure each element works effectively to engage and increase fans.

You will learn how to use online tools to resize and crop images and convert PDFs to JPEGs for use on your Facebook posts. You will also learn about using paid advertising effectively on Facebook and we'll explore Post Planner - a Facebook application designed for scheduled and regular posting at any time, day or night, even while you sleep!

This workshop is designed for businesses wishing to improve their existing Facebook page, increase theirs fans, target specific markets or demographics and learn how to present images and text on their page for the most impact. We’ll also be looking at Facebook as a whole in relation to online marketing, content curation and Google’s new way of searching and displaying search results online.

Who should attend - Following on from "Facebook for beginners", this workshop is best suited to those who have been using Facebook Pages for Business for a while or who have completed the facebook for business beginners workshop and understand the basic principals of using Facebook for their business.

What To Bring

•Your laptop with wifi capability (internet will be provided) If you wish to use a tablet or iPad please note that not all the functionality of facebook is easily available on these devices, so a laptop is preferred.

•Your facebook login username and password

•Your logo in the best quality you have (jpeg or png)

•Any other images (jpeg, png), documents (doc or pdf) you want to test for posting (if you don't have any, examples will be supplied)

•A short description of yourself / your business (50-100 words), as well as a long description of yourself / your business products / services (100-200 words)

About the Presenter:

Gina Jaaskelainen, Principal and Lead Designer at Hollywood Black - Branding & Creative, has been a designer for close to 20 years with a corporate portfolio including brand design and management, graphic design, web design and development, blogs and content management systems, social media and online marketing. Working closely and strategically with her clients, Gina focuses on customer growth strategies and developing appropriate and relevant marketing solutions online and in social media for businesses throughout Sydney, Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
