Event Details

Mood Active are hosting an educational breakfast for psychologists, GPs and counsellors with guest speaker David Gilfillan.  Come along and enjoy a hot breakfast, talk to fellow practitioners and listen to David talk about the latest research on using exercise therapy to manage mood disorders. This event does count toward your CPD points so please request a certificate of attendance and we will be happy to provide you with one.  Registration is from 7am. Breakfast will be served and David will commence speaking at 7.30am. We hope to see you there!

About David Gilfillan

David has worked for many years as a senior psychologist at the Black Dog Institute and presents a variety of educational sessions for them; he is now engaged in private practice in Bondi Junction and acts in an advisory role to the Mood Active team. David will describe and discuss research investigating exercise for mood, covering intensity, time and type. Additional benefits such as social interaction, self-efficacy and autonomy will also be discussed. He will offer practical suggestions to help you work with patients and clients in adhering to a regular exercise routine and adopting healthy lifestyle changes.
