The Ben Panucci Trio comprise of three of Sydney’s most talented and versatile musicians who together blend and stretch around their own colourful and dramatic original music, making for inspiring and entertaining listening. Ben’s music reaches into the depths of the Jazz and Blues tradition whilst also bringing it forward into an open space where anything could happen. Influences include Lester Young, Bill Frisell, John Lee Hooker and The Dirty Three.

Long-time Jazzgroove stalwart and Australian Jazz superstar, Matt McMahon and his trio have been together for seventeen years performing all over Australia and the world. Matt’s compositions reflect a broad interest in music from many sources – Jazz, Irish traditional, classical and pop, and the trio’s performances focus on combining these influences into a personal brew.

What is Jazzgroove?

Jazzgroove is a not for profit organisation presenting high-quality original and improvised music from various jazz related cannons. Our focus is on musicians who are in the early stages of forming a national and international career. Jazzgroove's purpose is to nurture upcoming musicians by allowing a platform and performance opportunity to an established audience through our weekly Tuesday double bill events, marketing/ promotion support while also providing a dialogue and mentorship between past Jazzgroove performers and more experienced musicians.
