About the band:
Hailing from Australia’s ocean-fringed South West, singer-songwriter Lucy Wise has delighted audiences across Australia New Zealand and the UK with her unique blend of folk music influences and masterful storytelling. Her expressive voice and intricate ukulele playing create an intimate and moving concert experience as she explores themes both local and global. The B’Gollies include Chris Stone (violin) and Holly Downes (double bass) who draw influence from their backgrounds in Celtic, American Folk and Classical music. Their new album, When We Wander Far From Home (April 2013) is inspired by Lucy’s travels as a musician and her hopes for the world. The band brings to life the characters of near and faraway places, their music traversing the landscapes of memory, travel and the small things that illuminate everyday life.
