Event Details

Join Naomi Huntsman to learn the technique of making rugs from up-cycled fabric and remnants. Using only a safety pin and strips of fabric we will weave together a rug.

Making Rag Rugs is a great way to up-cycle bed linen, old clothing, and to make use of your growing fabric stash.

We will provide a selection of fabrics to work with on the day however you are welcome to bring your own lightweight woven cottons that can be torn into strips to make your “rag rug”.

This workshop gives you the starting point and technique for making rag rugs, however the process of making your own rug will take more than 2 hours. This means that you will be taking your project home with you to complete.

Date: Saturday 31st May

Time: 10:30am – 12:30pm

Participants: 8 maximum

Cost: $30 (+bf)

Cancellation Policy: As we purchase materials based on the number of attendees for each workshop we are unable to refund tickets. We do welcome you to pass your ticket to a friend to come in your place. Please email us if you do wish to change the name on the ticket.
