Johnny G & The E Types is Sydney’s premier soul show. Their latest Soul Revue showcases the classics from the legendary STAX recording studio in Memphis, Tennessee and FAME recording studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Dance all night to the hits of Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Wilson Picket, Eddie Floyd, Percy Sledge, Sam and Dave, Etta James and more.
Between 1959 and 1975, the now legendary STAX Records, in Memphis, Tennessee, released international chart-topping hits such as "Soul Man," "Sitting On The Dock of the Bay," "Green Onions," "Midnight Hour," "Mustang Sally", "Hard To Handle", "Knock On Wood", "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love", "Mr Big Stuff", "These Arms Of Mine" and "Respect Yourself. The internationally renowned FAME recording studio was established in Muscle Shoals, Alabama producing a phenomenal number of soul classics with artists including Aretha Franklin, Wilson Picket, Etta James and Percy Sledge. This explosive nine-piece band performs these hits like it’s 1967.
