Led by world famous Gypsy guitarist Stochelo Rosenberg, this elite trio is the young and upgraded alter ego to the legendary Rosenberg Trio.

After touring the world for 25 years with his band "The Rosenberg Trio", Stochelo felt it was time to explore wider territories than the traditional Django Reinhardt / Gypsy Jazz classics and style, and to make room for upcoming new talent. In a musical family such as the Rosenbergs, where uncles, parents and grandparents had gained local and regional fame since the early 1900's as violin players and Guitarists, it was no big deal for Stochelo to find the ideal partners to develop a new repertoire, and to welcome two brilliant soloists to move on along with him.

Sébastien Giniaux, originating from Paris, France, is one of the outstanding young musicians of the city of lights. Classically trained as a cello player since his childhood days, this young virtuoso discovered Django Reinhardt and guitar playing at the age of 18. Immediatly picking up the instrument, he taught himself to play in a remarkably fast way, adding balkanic influences and classical feel to his vision of Django's playing, resulting in an absolutely unique musical talent. After a first recording with some other young players from Paris ("Selmer 607"), his name was instantly established alongside the most seasoned veterans of gypsy jazz, and he began to play concerts worldwide in various formations, while continuing to compose, arrange and play, both in his own projects and in other bands such as the legendary Taraf De Haidouks, to name but one. His personality, musicality and sense of humor combine perfectly with Stochelo's own, offering an unprecedented alliance.

Joel Locher, a long time student of Ulrich Lau in Stuttgart, then soloist of the Stuttgart Youth Chamber Orchestra and of the international Bach Festival Orchestra, kept a growing interest in Jazz and Gypsy Jazz while following his classical training and early career. Meeting and playing with Germany's top gypsy and Jazz musicians such a as Titi Winterstein, Olivia Trummer and alongside some more unexpected performers inlcuding Pee Wee Ellis and Tania Maria, his journeys across europe brought him often to Holland where he was adopted by the Rosenberg clan after countless all-night jam sessions. He has just recorded a CD with Stochelo and virtuoso pianist Jermaine Landsberger, entitled "Gypsy today" which will also hit the stores mid 2013.

These three together offer a crossfire of unbelievable solos, breathtaking rhythms and constant inventivity, each one pushing this fresh new team to new heights and contributing to an unprecedented display of both musicality and virtuosity, melted together with the gypsy sense of entertainment. If you liked Stochelo's playing before, you will love this brand new power trio.

"...one of the best gypsy guitarists out there, known for his beautiful tone and touch... From jazz to heavy metal, adding flamenco and Latin rhythms to his repertoire"
- Andreas Öberg (Swedish Guitarist)
