Indian International Film Festival of Queensland

Attendance of any film screenings is restricted to persons 18 of years or over.

The Indian International Film Festival of Queensland (IIFFOQ) is an unique competitive film festival that is held in Brisbane annually. IIFFOQ will screen and showcase exclusive quality feature films from Indian independent film makers, film makers of Indian origin and film makers of Indian subjects.

IIFFOQ’s screening program separates selected movies into two categories comprising of an ‘in-competition’ and a ‘special screenings’ section. Either section constitutes an exquisite compilation of Indian movies that are diverse in plot and storyline but equal in charm and originality. IIFFOQ’s ‘in-competition’ section embraces a selection of movies that are Australian Premieres or World Premieres. We are also featuring a selection of shorts by emerging Indian film makers in our program. A critical evaluation of all competitive movies is carried out by IIFFOQ’s competition jury that gathers important international writers, directors, actors and personalities. The jury aims to reward the Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography awards.

IIFFOQ will organise several events, panel discussions and parties during the film festival to create opportunities particularly for film graduates, students, Australian and Indian film directors and producers to meet, exchange ideas and to establish international contacts for future projects.
