Russian-Gypsy Extravaganza - Back to Camelot by popular demand!

Fabulous line up of some of the most notorious Eastern European musicians in Sydney!

The amazing NADYA GOLSKI-GIGA. Back from France where she sings with the greatest Gypsy bands in the world, the Australian Queen of Balkan & Gypsy Soul. Nadya have been performing in and around Europe, across Australia, at Montreux, Edinburgh, Womadelaide, Cziget, Woodford, MONA and in Sydney at the Camelot Lounge. Nadya Golski embraces Poland, Russia, France, Spain and even South Pacific Island cultures with surprising twists of jazz and blues in English, woven magically into the vital and mysterious tapestry of a wonderful performance.

Johnny O'han

What do you get when you combine Jazz, Swing, Cabaret and Classical? The answer is Johnny O'han. professionally trained, tenor classical singer, with astonishing vocal skills.

There is something in his voice that opens your heart, and you feel the power of nature! See it to believe it!

Volatinsky Trio - WOMADelaide 2013 programme describes the trio thus: β€œThe sound of Russia and the Balkans reach out and embrace the world in the capable hands of the Volatinsky Trio. Fuelled by an exotic combination of instruments: Lucy Voronov from Minsk is one of the great players of cimbalom having won major folk instrument competitions in Russia and former USSR.

Anatoli Torjinski is an ARIA-award winning musician, renowned for his brilliant jazz/world-style cello playing and improvisations in groups including Double T, Urban Gypsies, Monsieur Camembert and the Eddie Bronson Trio.

Stephen Lalor is Kiev-trained in Russian domra and guitar. When he is not playing with world music groups based in Sydney, Stephen works with Australian and overseas symphony orchestras as a mandolin specialist, appearing at major festivals as a mandolin/domra soloist. – these masterful performers have recently become the darlings of the international festival circuit.”

Viktoria Bolonina- singer/songwriter has previously appeared on the national television series: The Voice in 2012. Her quirky performances and original takes on the greatest classics of Bang Bang by Nancy Sinatra and Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana can be remembered and respected by many around the country. Since then she has been working hard on her original music with many performances with her pop/funk 6 piece band around Sydney at the best music venues, selling out her last show at The Vanguard!

Eddie Bronson Trio

Eddie Bronson (saxophone, accordione) - a legend in the Australian music scene- has for four decades played with brilliant Australian and international musicians, including triple ARIA award winning Monsieur Camembert Band.

Leonid Beshlei (saxophone, accordione) - highly talented and versatile musician, multi-instrumentalist,

Anatoli Torjinski- combining a classical level of cello technique with brilliant jazz/world-style improvisations, Anatoli is one of the most in-demand Cello players on the Sydney World Music scene.

Trio performs an eclectic mix of original, klezmer, jazz standards, tango and Latin, as well as French-musette, Italian and renaissance music.

Jaga Band - Australian fresh minded multicultural ensemble – presents famous virtuosic Eastern European melodies with a focus on Carpartian melodies from Ukraine, but also include Hungarian, Jewish, Slovak and Romanian songs and dances.
